Hey there! Thanks for visiting our site! Some of you must be wondering now what AnnTIC is, since the shortened form of the name doesn't give away much. AnnTIC is short for Annual Teach-In Camp, which is run under the banner of the Varsity Christian Fellowship in NUS. Unlike other camps, where the focus is orientation, bonding or simply having fun, AnnTIC is a camp where we will concentrate on studying the word of God and how we can apply his teachings in our various daily experiences! This is not to say it won’t be fun, or we won't have a good time of bonding together! AnnTIC has always been a wonderful time where members from all of VCF's ministries under NUS come together to study his word!
The main programmes for the camp include inductive bible study sessions, theme talks and workshops!
If you're wondering what these are, Inductive bible study is comprehensive bible study programme, which will take participants through the study of important portions of the bible (e.g. the epistles). Due to the nature of this programme we will only have time during AnnTIC for campers to to go through one of the four stages of this course.
This year's theme for the camp is 'Woe to the complacent', a study on the book of Amos. Basically, we will learning not to be too comfortable with the luxurious lives we live in Singapore, and not to be too complacent and forget that God has given each of us a special purpose for our lives. Our speaker, Mr Gideon Yung, is the East Asia Regional Secretary for IFES (the organization which VCF is under), and brings with him many relevant experiences and lessons that are especially applicable for Christians in University.
Lastly, campers will be able to chose two workshop topics from a possible six during AnnTIC. These workshop deal with daily issues we face as Christians, this years Workshop topics includes:
1) Intellectual Property
2) Catholicism & Protestants
3) Emotions in Christianity
4) Christian Revival
5) Introduction to Islam
6) Biblical view on Conversion.
